Question oil filter

Looking to replace the oil and oil filter in my 2009 DBS V 12. I was looking for where yo get one? Other than Ebay. Also i read that you could use a Ford performance filter? Any body use the Ford filter? Also have to do 2 of the O2 sensor. Looking for how to do that? Any info would be great. Thanks and be safe

Hi @Stucat

On the filter, yes, I use the Ford high performance filter instead of the AM labeled one. Have been using it for the 3rd yearly oil change now on my DB11 V12, and I'm pretty certain it is the same filter used on the DB9 V12.

I know I cannot post a source for it on this site, but pretty sure the p/n is OK. Ford Racing CM6731FL82.

For me (as the argument will probably ensue), it is not any price difference comparing it to the AM labeled one, just more convenient to get the Ford Racing one.

Hope this helps

I'd order the O2 sensors and oil change kit from an Aston Martin parts reseller like Scuderia Parts, Aston Bit, Red Pants, etc... Throw in a cabin & air filters to save on shipping. Air filters get dirty quick on these cars.

Steve at Aston1936 has a lot of great how-to videos.

For parts - for a big order I like astonstore.co.uk great prices, just be aware they seem to have a flat rate for shipping of £100 (about $130 now)
for smaller orders I have been using eurospares more expensive but they charge the actual shipping fee (still UK based).

For oil - Walmart sells a 12qt box of Mobil 1 FS Euro 0W-40 for $59 and free shipping. NAPA currently has a sell on single Qts for $7, I usually buy 2 qt extra (14 total).
Oil filters - for me i'm sticking with the OEM - my last astonstore.co.uk order i bought 4 of them - avg of $37 each
O2 sensors - I just replaced my left bank upper pre-cat ones, I went with the Delphi ES20104 they are about $35 each. Down stream is recommended Ford DY1401

Not second guessing your selection of O2 sensor at all. I'm genuinely curious. What led to using the Delphi ES20104 for the pre-cat O2 sensors? I thought the DY1401 were suitable in all positions.

I was able to find a direct cross-reference from XC2F-9F472-B1A to the Delphi part but not to the Ford DY1401 for the pre-cats, I plan on using the ford DY1401 for down stream sensors.
