i am pretty skeptical of a $300,000 usd price tag. i think that number might have come from someone converting the original price from british pounds? for car prices, you can't just do a straight comparison. if the db9 is $160k-ish, i would think the dbs might be 210-230k-ish? at least i hope. this car looks amazing! love the interior and details!

I agree, 300 does seem steep. But it is a very limited production car. I want to say I read that there will only be around 1,000 made. I know some cars are a little bit more exclusive (ENZO with only 399) but it is still a pretty small production number.

Gabriel-I was just thinking the same thing but it doens't bother me at all to see Ford selling. Never liked them owning the brand. Do you or does anyone else for that matter know who is taking over ownership?

Last news I read is that Aston has enough orders and allocations allowing to stay independent for a couple of years easily. All I know is that when I was interested to buy an AMV8 I was told that the waiting list is already 1 year long.

Yup. The only English manufacturer that remains that active and keeps making stunning cars.

According to one of my car magazines...can't remember which. The DBS is NOT a replacement for the Vanquish. A new Vanquish is coming out. Also, price I read was to be $195,000. I imagine though, you won't walk out of the dealership with one at that price!

I heard that one too. To many conflicting stories out there though to tell fact from fiction.

I cant imagine AM coming out with another car.
They have vantage and db9 that will continue. Vanquish is gone. Rapide, the sedan, will be coming in 08 or 09. The DBS will be coming soon too. Thats already 4 cars at the same time. I cant imagine another car coming. The VanquishS was around 250k so im assuming DBS will be similar and will be the Vanquish replacement. Time will tell I guess.

Is there any concrete info about a release and delivery date for the DBS or is it still all speculation at this point?

if DBS is a V8 then they will HAVE to release a V12 car to compete with the 599 segment
