Actually my car was built with the CF Side Blades and I ordered, through Audi parts, all the components for the CF Engine Trim and the CF Interior Trim. All components are now fitted to my R8. The entire dash must be removed to install the interior carbon trim, not a pretty sight. Stratmosphere (thanks Pete) has arranged for a first article Milltek Exhaust system (air freight from the UK) to be fitted on Saturday, along with a set of SDS Forged Wheels from The Gallery/Miami & SDS Forged Wheels. All this as my R8 will be a feature vehicle at the up coming SEMA Show in Las Vegas Oct 28-Nov 2 for Harper Audi, The Gallery/Miami, SDS Forged Wheels, Stratmosphere and Milltek. As soon as I am able I will shoot photos for your enjoyment.

I cannot thank my dealership, Harper Audi, enought for their assistance in obtaining and installing the CF trim, and receiving and installing the exhaust and wheels. Harper Audi owner Tom Harper, the service assistance of Mark Nagle and the expert installation by their R8 certified technician Thomas are making it possible for everything to be done in time for the car to make the transport for Las Vegas on time and let my R8 shine at SEMA.

 

Are those the polished wheels offered through Audi? Can you order them in the US?

 

The wheels shown in the photo are the stock R8 wheels which have a moderate polish from the factory. I have a full set of factory R8 wheels being chromed by one of the best shops in the US which will be installed after SEMA. I think all the chrome haters will be very surprised how good the chrome factory wheels look on my Ibis White R8. I am an old guy and old guys like chrome! Not to mention the ease of maintenance, LOL.
