I decided to do the clear corner mod this weekend. Mind you i fairly mechanically inclined as I am a mechanical engineering major. I also have a garage full of tools (air, power, and hand) with a lift.

I took me roughly 6 hours to remove, bake, and re-install the headlights. What the hell are you supposed to do if you have a bulb burn out. No car should require the removal of both front wheels and the bumper to change a headlight bulb.

 

Yeah, they don't make that easy on the B7. Most techs at my shop can do B7 bulbs without taking the bumper off now. They've figured out a way to get in their by removing a few things behind the lights.

 

they can do it on the S4? I cannot see what they would move other than the engine?

The bulb can be accessed from the back of the headlight if a change is needed. Removal of the entire assy is not req'd....
