07 RS4 17K Miles. Whenever I start up the car i the morning it takes the car at least 1-2 minutes to rev down to 900 RPMs from 1600 on a morning start. But during those 1-2 minutes the car sputters and jumps up and down 100-200 RPMs during that process..
After those 2 minutes driving the car it seems find. Is there anything to worry about..

I was thinking maybe a bad tank of gas ?

Outside Air Temp is around 70degrees F

 

I have close to 20k miles on mine.

If you turn off your air conditioning, the car won't rev as high on a cold start, or so it seems.

But no, mine does not sputter or jump around, at least not that I've noticed. The air temp is about the same or a little lower where I am currently.
