I did the REVO software on my RS4 about 3 to 4 months ago. No problems.
No power gains felt but I did not dyno the car.
There is a noticeable change in the engine behavior. The car seemed to rev easier and the motor felt like it woke up somewhat.

So it's safe to say that the reflash works best with an aftermarket catback then?
