2007 RS4 with 32K Miles, What is fair price? Worth it?
I'm looking at an 07 RS4 with 32K miles. What do you guys think is fair price for this car?
Do you think this is way to much mileage for an 07? Do you think it would be worth it to pay say another 8-10K for one with only 5K miles? Can you extend the warranty through the dealer if so how much? Thanks for all the help. Really considering the RS4 since I'm moving from Socal to more wet weather. (Socal) |
thats a lot of miles for a 07 rs4..

Try to find one with a lower mileage especially if you gonna use it as DD.

I've got 30k on mine right now and haven't had any problems. Just check the clutch and drivetrain if you're serious about it.

Thanks everyone!

This will be my DD.

that is a lot of miles but if it's in good shape and it fits your budget then do it...are you getting it from a dealer?

Take it to get checked out, get the service records and a carfax...(I know carfax is not always accurate but it's better than nothing)...drive it to make sure it tracks right...others please add in if I missed anything. Just make sure you're not buying someone else's headache. Best of luck.

Agreed. Definitely get it checked out at a service department or garage that you trust.
They can run historical info, such as how many times the car has been redlined and to what stage it's been redlined. I have 9K on my '08 RS4 which is 10 months old... and I thought I had a lot of miles! ;) |
Black Book - Average 51500 Clean 54500 Excellent 55150

Sucks cause it located all the way in the east coast! I was able to find the a similar one for 56K with 4K miles and he still wants 49.7K. Asking too much? ;) I think 45-47K in this current market is fair after some more research. Alot of people seem to think 32.7K miles is a ton on this car.
2009 models are coming out, so if it was bought new in 2007, it's only about 2,700 miles over "average" for a daily driven vehicle. I wouldn't consider those miles "high," unless you're of the mindset that the car should be kept in the garage. I have almost 19k on my 2007 but my work commute is only about 20 miles round trip per day. B |

45-47k is too low for that car. Those are auction prices.
