yeah damn i heard about this, such a pity. Just to answer your question we get the "proper" RS4 buckets seats, the german - spec (euro spec)basically, whereas i think the americans don't really get the proper buckets its the same with the GT3 RS

yeah, if im not mistaken they dont meet American safety regulations or something of the sort.

Of course, the strange irony is that the bucket seats are actually safer than the US ones.

They are, but they don't have side impact air bags. If it wasn't for that, they would exceed US crash standards.

Actually, even without the side air bags, there was an extensive discussion with some evidence on Audiworld that they are safer, just that Audi could not be bothered to get them tested through the US crash standards authorities (or whatever it's called)

Hmm...reminds me of those 2 parking garage dudes in Ferris Bueller's Day Off where they took Cameron's pop's 250GT California for a joyride only they didn't crash the car!
Sucks for the owner of that RS4.
