Audi R8 V10: First Drive

As fast as a 911 Turbo and just as viable as an everyday steer, the R8 V10 leaves the Porsche standing in the charisma stakes. It's much more than a cut-price Lamborghini Gallardo too, the R8 going its own way by offering the perfect compromise between Porsche's clinical efficiency and the fantasy world of Lamborghini and Ferrari.

Yes, but I think the eventual price of the V10 R8 is going to make the 997TT look like the bargain supercar again.

Saw one of these in the service station yesterday when I picked up the RS4. Looks and sounds awesome.

$150-160K.

If you ask me, the R8 V10 is the real bargain. Anyone check the price on a new LP560? Amazing car, but $250K loaded new. That's pretty much what you're getting with the R8 V10.
