So the S8 made it to the USA...
as well as the RS4,the S4,S6 etc.

and the RS6,the ultimate beast, would not make it to the US due to lack of potential buyers?
lol....strange world..

btw, in which period of time should the 2000 100k+ cars be sold?

They Learn there lesson with the RS4. Look how many are on the used market and look at the price. RS series are" so pose to be" Exclusive, Not in the states as most sit on used car lots and Audi hates to see this. Also they don't like to hear all the dealers complain about the price and how they can't sell them ... So for now No more RS

I'm really feeling that blue! This is now beat out the E39 M5 my ideal daily driver. So, is all of this confirmed, the RS6, even in sedan form, isn't coming to the states?

Yes, confirmed and officially dead for US import.

I totally hear you about the E39 M5, was my best daily driver before I picked up the RS4. If there were an RS6 I would be totally over it, even though I don't care much about auto slushboxes! Hopefully the next generation (i.e 4+ yrs from now) will make it to our shores.

The S and RS lines have little to nothing in common. RS line is built and assembled by Quattro GmbH (some even hand assembled), S is just Audi. The S4 and RS4 share only the roof as a common body element, and the water pump as far as the engine is concerned. RS cars are generally built from the ground up, as opposed to being simply 'souped up" S cars.

Audi sold about 2200 RS4 sedans and 300 RS4 cabrios in 2 yrs. All were accounted for, with very few examples still sitting in the dealer lots (there are probably no more than 100 nationwide). Several factors have contributed this:

1. Competition has emerged since the RS4's 2007 US intro, namely E9x M3, Lexus IS-F, C 63 AMG, Caddy CTS-V
2. Economy has nose dived
3. Car is now 'morally' old as new B8 A4 chasis is out, in fact S4 is a few months away

Given than the RS6 is an auto, I think the customer base would be much greater. i can almost vouch that 50% of RS4 owners would 'upgrade', so there's a 1000 units accounted for. Also count in the 2003 (only yr it was imported) RS6 US owners who would immediately jump on the gun for a new RS6. Add the thousands of 'disenchanted' SUV owners who still need the cargo space, and you have hundreds of takers for the Avant. In certain countries in Europe, more RS6 Avants outsell the Cayenne Turbo!

I think AofA can achieve a figure of 2K a yr IF the price were right.

Look at the 3 pts above and you will see why. If you look at Manheim prices of C63s, M3s, and IS-Fs, you will quickly realize these cars have depreciated as bad (if not faster actually!) than the RS4. It's called 'recession'. Which too accounts for why 2007 997 TTs are selling in the 70s right now...

Are these parts OEM parts or did you got them produced individually for your car?

btw,
Is there any aftermarket exhaust for this thing yet?

that would sound even more mind blowing...for sure

Hi Youngbimmer,

Individually Produced...I know that both MTM amd ABT offer both ECU upgrades and exhuast systems raising the power from 580 to 700. See attached sheet for ABT
