Removing license plate on 2005 S4

I'm buying a 2005 S4 and the current owner has the front license plate on the car. He said he has a guy who can fill the holes, re-paint and I will never know.

Is the above method the best option or can you just get a brand new panel color matched?

Thanks.

Get the new cover from the dealer and have that painted.

The 4 screws on the front generally hold on the plate, though there may be as few as 3, 2 or even 1. Undoing these with counterclockwise twisting will remove the plate.

LOL, had to have a little fun with that one. Patrick has it. The dealer will have a "plate delete" for the B7 chassis. Something like $150. Worth it...
If you have a B6 and they drilled the bumper, then you will have to have the holes filled and painted.

It is a 2005 (B6) so it sounds like the fill the hole and paint option is my only option.

Thanks.
