For the blower it self we are using an eaton M-90

Question:

Why did you guys decide on that specific blower? It is...

1. Better suited to 2.8-4.0L 6cyl engines (IMO).
2. Very very old, why not something with newer tech like a "screw-type" or a TVS versus that roots? The roots will generate more heat, be less efficient in general.

The only reason I could see for this selection would be cost, but I would not think that cost would be a large issue with a product marketed towards 120k+ automobiles. I'm not trying to bash, just looking for "why".

Interesting comments, stevez0r. I'm wondering if the choice has to do with placement and fitment, as it all has to fit under the glass hood at the end of the day.
