R8 Help! Removing the center rear view mirror

Guys need your help... sounds silly, but helping a mate of mine to hard wire a radar to the R8's center rear view mirror but not 100% certain how to remove the covers on the back of the mirror. i've done the hard wire on my 997.2 pretty easily, but the center console comes off easily w/ 2 screws....

needless to say (b/c this is not my car) i dont want to "just pull/pry" the casing w/o knowing how it disassembles. anyone with experience or better, pictures? thanks in advance!

versions. Removing– Pry the cover -1- out on top of the mirror base -arrows-. – Remove the electrical connector from its retainer.– Disconnect electrical harness connector -2-.– Turn the interior rearview mirror counterclockwise -arrow- on the mirror base -1- as far as the stop.– Remove the interior rearview mirror from the retaining plate.InstallationInstallation is reverse of removal, but note the following:– Position the interior rearview mirror turned 30° from its installation position.– Then turn the interior rearview mirror clockwise as far as the stop.

I hardwired mine by plugging it directly to the fuse box on the passenger side and tugged the wire into the Apillar.
