I am planning to purchase one but I heard there are a lot of hidden cost and just regular maintenance can be very high. Also, I have heard Audi's do not have a resell value and suffer from mechanical problems.

 

i have a 2007 a4 sline and i now it is not the a5 but in the 54000km i have had it it has needed a light bulb in the right rear taillight. get audi secure or whatever they are calling the service package and dont worry about service.....its more than worth it and in a lease the cost is differed in a higher residual. overall the 2.0t and even the 3.1,,,,er 3.2 are pretty proven platforms. i think it shouldnt be too bad. change the oil and drive the car and it should be fine. also audi resale values are fairly high especially for an a5 which suffered from short supply in the first year.

 

we have the same motor on our audi ... and since being new in 2007 we've spent .....
