Straightpipes on R8 4.2? Sure, why not.

We're developing a muffler system for the 4.2, and while jigging is underway, we started a small side project and threw some straightpipes on our development car.

Hey, we know straightpipes are not for everyone.

But we developed straightpipes for the Porsche Carrera GT, and to date we have sold over 200 sets... so who knows, maybe this product will take off, too.

Loud? Yes.

Are they for your R8? You decide.

Brief stats:

T304 stainless
Bolt on (no modifications needed)
+6 crank hp, +5 crank tq
49lbs weight savings vs stock muffler

Pricing and release date coming soon. Contact us for more info.

That is definitely badass. Now if only I had a CGT or R8 to put such a killer set of pipes to use.

Technically, no, as they eliminate a set of cats that are inside the factory muffler, but all aftermarket exhausts for the R8 do that.

The second set of cats are not monitored by the fuel injection ECU, so there are no fault codes or Check Engine Lights from this mod.

Just pure loudness!

Wow. Sounds much better than the stock exhaust for sure.

How about you take it up a notch and swap the stock cats out with 200 cell cats.

Any possibility of getting some video of the car with straight pipes on the street?
