Cayenne S and '09 Q7 TDI?

Took my '06 Cayenne S in for its' 40k service last week and the Dealer gave me a Q7 TDI for a loaner. Nice Car!

Turns out he has an '09 Q7 TDI S-line premium for sale. Being a diesel Guy I asked him to run the numbers taking my '06 Cayenne S in trade. Bottom line is $25k plus my Cayenne for the used Q7. BTW he's asking $55k for the Audi...seems high for a used car with 14,000 miles.

Thoughts from anyone?

As fantastic as that Q7 is, I'd say it's a tough call. I would keep an interest but see if they'll take some more money off the bottom line and I'd say it's a pretty good deal.

If they don't, I'd hold on to the Cayenne.

My mistake. the deal is my Cayenne plus $25 cash, which values the Cayenne at $30k. I've owned it since new, great car but oil is going up and should continue to climb for awhile making a diesel more attractive.

is 30k a good value for trade? also remember (depending on your state) the trade will knock the tax off the existing car ... (so if your tax rate is 10%) ... the 30k trade value is really 33k

If it's one of those 09 White demo models they are decked out to the hilt... Every options. I tried to purchase one from a dealer but I just couldn't agree to purchase an 09 for 55K... In the end I placed an order for a 2011 because I really wanted those vented seats like my A8 has.. Plus the new ones have the 8 speed transmission. 65K for a 2011 fully loaded with everything seems like a better value than the 09 was. They threw in the Audi Care plus I got the loyalty discount. Take delivery next month. I think the 09 is a bit high.
