These tests are stupid. No car can pull significantly far away on a road or track of that length. You need miles and miles of road for cars to get out of sight of another one, or a massive straight.

Besides, they are testing in the wet with twp cars that have dual clutches and probably using the computers launch control. Looks to me like he was using a 6-speed in that R8.

TT-RS is always a 6-speed gearbox, they don't make one with a dual clutch DSG box!

Both cars in this video are manuals, which makes the comparison fair but the 200hp advantage as shown will take care of it when the twisties do change into straight line performance
