Audi to overtake Mercedes-Benz to become no.2 premium brand





The sales race is heating up as Audi is poised to overtake Mercedes as the world's second largest luxury automaker for the 1st time.
According to the latest statistics, Audi is beating their German rival by 56,585 vehicles as of December 1st.
If this trend continues, Audi will surpass Mercedes for the first time in history.
Despite the fact that Mercedes might lose their second place spot, the company's sales are up by 7%.
This is an impressive figure, but Audi sales have surged 18% thanks to new models like the Q3 and A6.
Once again, BMW is expected to take top honors for being the best selling luxury automaker.
Through the first eleven months of the year, the brand has sold 1,252,205 vehicles which puts them ahead of Audi (1,193,110)
and Mercedes (1,136,525).
