RS4 In For First Carbon Cleaning At 35K Miles

Customers car came in Monday morning for a full tune up and a carbon cleaning. As many know the direct injection motors have these issues with oil/carbon build up on the valves which potentially causes power loss which can be definitely felt.

Onto the pictures.

Nice job. Can't believe there is that much buildup after only 35k miles. What process do you use to get the carbon off? I've seen some DIY jobs on E90post, looks like a PITA.

You just have to be patient, we use a chemical to aid in the breakdown of the buildup after that it's all manual scrubbing.
