I said goodbye to my 2009 Carrera S this weekend and brought home a 2012 Audi S5 Cabrio. I never thought I would enjoy driving the S5 as much as I did, especially after having been spoiled by my C2S. The S Tronic dual clutch tranny with paddle shifters is wicked fast on the fly. The ride is sporty and the fit and finishes inside the car is top notch. Oh, and the Bang & Olufsen sound system is AAAAAAHMAZZZZINGGGG! Even with the top down!

So, HELLOOOOOOOO boyz and galz...VINNY is in the AUDI stable too! LOL

It'll sound a lot meaner once I change the exhaust over to TUBI's

I had Tubi's on my 997 and it was SICK! Love the growling sound!

Great choice in a cab. What color blue is that?

 

It's not blue. It's dark grey. I think the way my cell phone camera took the pic, it made it look like a shade of blue.

Nice ride - I bought one for my wife last year and I think it's one of the best all around cabrio's if you've got kids and live where weather (ie snow) is an issue. On a side note I installed the awe exhaust & down pipes and I am really happy with the sound - screams like an exotic at full throttle but pretty mellow at normal input levels.

Welcome! Hope you will enjoy the S5. I have a 2012 also but it doesn't have S Tronic transmission. It has the Tiptronic which is no where near a dual clutch system. Did Audi make a mid-year change?

 

I am not sure there was a mid year change. Is yours an S5? or and A5 cabrio?

It is an S5 Coupe' I looked on Audi's website and with the V-8 it comes with the TipTronic. Your comes with the S-Tronic. Boy I wish they would have put the dual clutch on the V-8.
