Hello all!
I have a 2013 S4 that has spent most of the first month in the dealer's service and warranty dealings than in my own garage. More on that another time. My question is about the fan speed control in the cabin.

I drove a used 2011 and 2012 S4 and decided on the 13 model because of the looks and some tech upgrades. What I didn't expect is that the fan speed control is different in the 13 than in the 11s and 12s. In the older model the driver and passenger had their own controls.

What I mean by this is that the fan speed and mode settings had different buttons in the older models and in mine it's one button for mode and one for fan. In the 13 the mode control is one button but still has both passenger and driver controls.
The fan speed however is now one button but is NOT two different controls for driver and passenger. Does anyone know why this is or is it something specific to my model only that needs looked at?
The service people and sales people didn't seem to even know that their cars did this!!!
When they had my car in for an unrelated service they gave me an A8 to drive. That car had similar controls to that of the S4 but they were BOTH passenger and driver specific much like the 11s and 12s S4 were.

Can one of you with a 13 S4 confirm this for me please and report back?

Are you asking if the S4 is able to set 2 diff fan speeds for the front.
Only Audi's that have that is the A8 and Q7 I know of for sure
They must have just one button on the ac head now cause 2 is really not needed, not sure why they did it on the first B8 S4's

 

I have a 2013 S4 as well and from my understanding there is no way to control the fan speeds independently. You can only control the temps.
