GIAC Stage 1 software is Now Available for D4 S8 4.0T WORLDWIDE

GIAC Stage 1 software is now available for D4 Audi S8. This software calibration accommodates the factory exhaust and intake system and retains OEM-like drivability, but offers dramatic performance improvements throughout the entire power band. On 91 fuel, peak to peak performance gains are measured at 65-75 wheel HP and 100-120 ft lbs wheel torque. In some areas of the power band, gains are reach 122 wheel HP and 133 ft lbs wheel torque. Special thanks to GMG Racing for allowing us to use their in-house S8 for software development!

properly recalibrated air/fuel ratios,
improved throttle response for a drive-by-cable system feel,
optimized torque control for smoother part throttle power control and faster shifting
raised speed limiters to factory redline in final drive gear.

The software purchase includes all GIAC program switching options (Stock, Race and Valet modes) and a GIAC Handheld Program Switcher. Race mode is 93 and 100 octane compatible. Pump mode is 91-93 octane compatible.

Dynamometer test results from an MD-500 Mustang dyno are included here. The graph plots power tests (wheel HP and TQ) for a 2014 Audi S8. The red line denotes a completely stock S8 with OEM software, exhaust, intake and charge cooler, on 91 octane. The blue line denotes the same S8 with GIAC 91 octane Stage 1 software, OEM exhaust, intake and charge cooler, on 91 octane. All runs were performed in high ambient temperatures (82 degrees Fahrenheit in the dyno cell).

Additional testing was performed on GMG Racing's Mustang dynamometer on 93 octane equivalent and racing fuel. Take note that different dynos will produce different results, even if they're the same type of dyno. For this test result, the blue line indicates a 2014 Audi S8 with GIAC 91 octane Stage 1 software, OEM exhaust, intake and charge cooler, on 91 octane fuel. 93 octane results are represented with the green line. Finally, the red line showcases results with 100 octane fuel. All runs were performed in very high ambient temperatures (92 degrees Fahrenheit in the dyno cell).
