At that price, you didn't feel like waiting for the B7 RS4? Looks likes they'll pretty close in price but the RS4 has alot more to offer.

The price on the RS4 is going to be in the $80K range without the whistles & bells that are standard on the 25quattro. (UK pricing has been released at 49,500 pounds sterling). Beside, I don't need the extra 78 HP or the aluminum hood & fenders. The US version of the RS4 will not have the trick steering wheel or the trick seats or the console mounted starter button. Who knows what else we will have to give up to meet US and crash standards.

The S4 is a ball to drive. Handling is fast and crisp. Performance is awesome given the platform and more than enough to keep up with the peers in its class. As a daily driver the S4 25quattro will be a stellar ride with awesome performance and offering uniqueness and exclusivity.

 

This is has been a subject of much debate across many forums. From a reliable source:

Order Guides will be avail at the end of the month, with production starting in December/January. First retail deliveries are scheduled for the end of March.

MSRP: Still not finalized but between $65 - $69k

Standard Equipment (As compared to the S4): Premium Package, 19" Wheels, Carbon Fibre

Optional Equipment: Wood Interior Trim, NAV+, Bose Audio Package with XM or Sirius, Sound Enhancing Exhaust, Rear Park Distance Control, Power rear window and manual rear side window sunshades.

Ceramic Brakes will most likely not be avail at launch.

Now for the changes between RoW and NAR. The Interior obviously. The Start Button was gone, replaced with the center console with cupholders. The Steering wheel was a thicker perforated 3 Spoke and the sport button was located on the dash next to the ESP switch. The Seats are same as the S4 with RS4 embossed in the leather. Other than that everything else including the exterior mirrors will carry over.

SAE HP rating will be 420bhp.
