Trying to figure out next supercar
Currently have a 2009 r8 v8
Thinking about either a v10 R8 or a lp560-4 or lp550-2
Thought about a mclaren 12c but seems like it would be a nightmare if it breaks
Any opinions on the above vehicles or thoughts on a differant vehicle I should try are greatly appreciated.

To add, they aren't available w/ the dual clutch like the '14+ R8
I have driven the 12c, and know of a few owners who have had nothing but problems, it's fun car to drive, and who doesn't love those doors? But yeah, reliability, residual value, and build quality sent me in the direction of the R8.

2009 white r8 v8. Had it a few years.
What can I say...
Zero to 60 in 4.0 seconds is far from slow but not fast either..
But the way the car gets attention you would swear its a 300k v12 lol. Far more attention than my corvette, vipers or nsx.
I love the car....
Call me a bad person but I kinda hate that you can get a 08 or 09 v8 R8 like mine for 65-75k now...
Not cheap by any means but starting to get into normal car territory...
I paid 90k for mine and figured they would stay there for quite some time.
I consider the 08 r8 v8 a far better car than an 04 gallardo in every way but you can barely touch those under 70k.
So Im thinking a V10 R8 or Lp560...
Even if those do get down to 70k in a few years.....
They are still 500k plus vehicles with V10s and will always be kinda special...
Once a 2008 v8 420 hp R8 is 60k...Whats really gonna be so special about it????......
I know that sounds pompas and it was just 5 years ago that I would have had a hard time buying a 60k car used or new...
Maybe its because I have one.....But a V10 Lp560 or R8 just seems like it will be more special to me years from now than my R8V8.
Other than that you couldnt really ask for a better entry level exotic than the R8 v8

Unless you pick up an 03-05 996TT X50. Not the best looking Turbo, but cheap and with a flash and a Europipe, you're at 550hp. You can even pass the visual smog test. Of course I'm thinking of selling mine next year and getting a used 2017 R8V10plus. After 40 years in Porsches. I'd like to actually see the engine from above.
