RS4 Delays :( ,but at least pricing is out.

Looks like the RS4 is going to be delayed comming stateside till end of the year possibly 2007. Factory seems pretty hush on this, anyone else have any info? At least they put pricing out there. $66,000 base MSRP. $4,700 for prem pkg. I guess not AS bad as some magazines had suggested early on.

Yah I was expecting it to be around $80k. $66k base seems like a bargain for that car.

I've heard nothing about a tiptronic option and it is not listed as an option anywhere I can find on the Audi website so I'd have to assume that it only comes as a 6 speed.

Got the info from guys at Audi. No explanation as to why though. No tip as an option. Only other options are sold order paint, rear side airbags, brushed alum beltline trim at no charge, and sunroof delete at no charge.

I already answered that question in the other RS4 thread. But here it goes anyway, since you have some kind of discussion going on here:

It's the same twin-clutch automated sequential gearbox which is already available in cars like the new Mk V Golf GTI, as well as other VWs and Audis. As you probably know, Porsche's also adapting the technology. Their term for it is PDK IIRC.
