if it was for a daily driver like you said, I would go with the is350 over the s4. just me though.

test drove the IS today, it is different from the S4. my S4 is a car you can really take charge, while IS was a great car with great function that is well put together. i would take the S4 any day if i can only have one car. but when it comes to a daily driver, i think the IS become very attractive.

I have to lean towards trovan's comments. Lexus will probably get better gas mileage and maybe better resale - especially if you run up the miles daily driving. So I'd lean to IS350 since you already have the toys.

Otherwise, I have a word description for my S4: quattro! Nothing works like quattro for putting the power down. The V8 sings and quattro makes pulling out in traffic a breeze. When you want to play, she'll never get tail happy. Just point the wheel and give it gas. quattro sorts out the rest...

Peter your asking opinions from 6speed members! The majority will say S4! 6Speed will always get you to spend the dough, very bad influence on here! J/K

If it were me, I would get the S4 as well. I think the resale value will be good, based on the fact that its a lot more scarce than a IS will ever be. If you are that worried about resale, just lease it and turn it back in after the lease. Than you won't have to worry about being upside down. Your a performance nut, so you will enjoy the S4 more. 1300RWHP+ Vipers and 1000WHP+ Supras, there is no way your going to settle for a normal car. haha

I was on the waitlist for an IS350. When it became clear that the 350 would be only available in an auto I went with the S4.

The Audi is fantastic although there are times I wish it were RWD instead of AWD. Both the IS and the S4 are overweight IMO.

The S4 is a great daily - tons of torque and it just "feels" good in nearly every driving situation. I love the V8 sound (with a catback)

Only real downside is the lousy fuel economy.

I was also shopping for an IS350 but dealers are claiming there is a 3-4 month wait and they are not even giving a break off msrp....
