I am honored and humbled to have been invited to drive the R8 in Las Vegas on Sunday Feb 18 at the R8 Driving Experience. 138 buyers and prospective buyers, divided into three groups of 50, 38 and 50, have been invited by Audi to Las Vegas on Feb 18, 20 and 22 to drive the R8 on the road and at the Las Vegas Raceway. For me the trip is simply an opportunity to get familiar with a vehicle that I committed to over a year ago and will receive early in the 2007 release of 200 units.
As a racer (not boy racer or street racer) the majority of my adult life and having owned several 911's, a 996 Turbo "S" as well as two S4's and now an RS4, I believe I can provide a different perspective of the R8 after the Driving Experience. I will report back.

Are you tall? I'm curious to know about leg and head room for someone around 6'3" tall.

 

I've been driving one for a few days at Atlanta and you shoud fit with out any issues. I"m 6'1 and fit easily even with a helmet.
