I honestly didn’t like the R8 especially when I first heard it had another 4.2 V8. Fancy direct injection and carbon fiber just wasn’t enough. Hearing the v10 has made me change my mind. So far I think it’s the only high revving Audi engine I have ever heard. The 4.2 and the 5.2 don’t sound exotic, even though they are great engines and have a lot of power. I don’t even know for sure if that’s just the v10, there have been reports of very exotic engine combos being considered for this variant.
Too bad there’s only one R8 coming my way, and the owner of the dealership has already spoken for it. With 40 being produced per day you would think they would be a bit easier to come by.
