New Pics

A few impromptu pre-detailing pics. Did the whole menzerna/klasse/one grand treatment. Looks spectacular now. Sorry for the semi-crap pics, they were taken on my blackjack.

Have several things on the docket for this Friday:
-Raise rear up 0.5"
-Increase dampening adjustment at all corners (currently at full soft)
-Install OEM RS4 rear sway bar
-Oil change

Some pics from a stupid car show at my school:

In front of our new house which is a detailer's dream--wash bay, central vac, heated, etc.

As you can see the rear really needs to be raised. With people in the back it rubs like a ****.

I second that. It reminds me of my brother's B6 - which is a good thing.

It's hard to tell from the first pic but do you have clear corners or e-codes? I'm interested if you have either, my bro really wants to do it on his.

There is not a single thing I dislike about your ride, keep it up!

They are clear corners with those silverish bulbs that blink amber. The CC mod is pretty easy, good afternoon project. It takes about 1 hour per housing--although once you do it, you could probably do it in about 15 min.

Any condensation issues? My buddy did it on his WRX and said he has to redo it every once in awhile b/c of moisture inside due to an improper seal.
I have the xenons--I don't know if your brother has halogens as it might be different. The answer is neither.

Basically what you do (and forgive me as I did this over 2 yrs ago) is drill into the housing from the top and bottom to break the tabs where the reflector attaches. Then the back of the ballast/bulb assembly tilts out and you reach in with needle nose pliers and yank out the reflector (you may need to break it to get it out, my second headlight I knew what I was doing so I got it out in one piece). Then, of course you reassemble and seal up the holes where you drilled.

This is a quick explanation. There are some good tech articles on audiworld on how to do it. By doing it this way you don't have to deal with any of the sealing issues.
