S5 Info

Anyone have additional information on the S5 other than what is offered on the Audi site? Delivery dates and confirmed pricing would be nice. I could call my local Audi dealer, but those guys are frustrating to deal with unfortunately :|

I hate to perpetuate speculation, but everything I've heard or read has the S5 coming in late summer (figure Sept), just ahead of the A5. The most recent price estimate is $59,000. I have been watching the Audi USA site like a hawk for when it's added to the "build your own" part. I hope that helps a little bit...

Chris, thanks for the info. Verone had a really nice link that broke down the S5 in detail...pm me if you want it. I wish I never saw this car because I am totally in lust over it.

Audi e-mailed me today with the S5 configurator. It should be available on the Audi USA site, but if not, here's the link:

There is a tiny print at the bottom that says pricing will come in Sept '07...

After seeing the new S4, the S5 is really calling my name since I rarely use the back seats.

I had a chance to see the car in person tonight at the Audi dealership. The car absolutely met my expectations...beautiful! This car is definitely my next one, now.

Any word on pricing yet? Also, in terms of size how did it compare to a 3 series coupe.

I've heard prices from 60 to 70k. It might be a hair wider and longer; definitely looks much more aggressive and better than the 3.

They seroiusly need to get rid of that cheesy V8 emblem on the side of the car...nothing a piece of floss and some elbow grease cant fix.

Did you happen to get pics? What color was it and at what dealership? I want to see this car in person.

amerlemans, I didn't take pictures since I got to the dealership 25 minutes before their social event was over...something to do with Randy Quaid (sp?) or other. Not my kind of crowd typically to talk to. The car being displayed was red w/ tan interior; very much like the pictures floating around the web w/ European configuration. The car was at Roger Beasley in Austin for a one night event.

Thanks CC. I will keep my eyes and ears open for when they hit the dealerships around here (DC area). The pics look very promising. I just can't get a good guage on its size. I know the size specs but they mean nothing in terms of how a car really looks and feels IMO.
