It's tempting to get one the waiting list, supposedly you can have one in a year and a half.

I can attest that the R8 looks much better in person then in a magazine. I actually considered getting my 5,000 deposit back until they had one come in on their showroom. I told him I'd stay on the list (3rd) and it's still probably another year. Strangely they make you place your order "prior" to the car being alotted. So I had to pick out color and options 1 1/2 before the car gets here. Strange but I guess the dealer has to do it due to the limited quantity.

 

I am looking forward to seeing an R8 in the flesh.
