FS: 2002 Mercedes G500 w/ warranty + extras ... 38,000 OBO
If youre interested, send me a PM to remind me to look up the guy who built my wheels for you.
It takes anywhere from 4-8 weeks for him to build them but the quality is great and so is the price

They have a section for Land Rovers.
As far as tires, these are BFG A/T, probably the most popular and best all-terrain that's out there. Check out tirerack.com
Why on earth would you put these wheels (or anything steel) on a G500, unless it was a full-time offroad vehicle? Trust me, 99.9% of the folks who are in the market for a G500 are going to be turned off by this wheel/tire setup.
what do you suppose I should have put on it?
these? vvv

In fact, it does see offroad use so I'm not sure what the issue with you is...that's why I got them in the first place.

No, but I'd be reluctant to put those steel wheels on my hunting Jeep. They certainly don't belong a G500. Put the stock wheels back on it and it will sell.
Steel wheels on a G500 is a crime against humanity.

Eh?
Dude, you know that the G-class started off long ago as a military vehicle, right? It came with steel wheels, just like Land Rovers, Land Cruisers, Humvees, etc.
While being heavier, steel wheels are stronger than their aluminum counter parts and can take a lot more off-road abuse. They're also much cheaper to replace and much easier to fix.
In many parts of the world many of what are considered "luxury SUVs" in the US are actually sold with steel wheels.

ummmm, ok.
last time I checked this was a for sale post...nothing more than that...and clearly you don't know the history of the Gelandewagen. imo, nothing besides steelies belong on a G-classe, everything else looks like rubbish.

Ninja Hero, are you going to put camo paint on it too?
As I said, if you are serious about selling it, put the stock wheels back on it and get on with life.
yep...that's not even an issue. I have the stock wheels/tyres sitting in the garage ready to be swapped if that's the case
