In the past 2 weeks I have spoken to 2 dealers about trading
my car (loaded '07 1500 mile pearl yell e-gear coupe) towards an 1800 mile and an 800 mile SL's, both pearl orange, e-gear w/ceramics.

The first dealer with the 800 mile car told me my car and 80K...I laughed
and said no thanks. $162K trade value and $242K purchase price.

The dealer with the 1800 mile car offerded my car and 53K. Closer but not doing it. $178K trade and $231K purchase price.

My hope was to be able to trade up for approximately 30 to 40K but obviously this isn't happening...oh well.

It should be interesting to see what happens this fall
when the 560's start to hit the streets.

 

Watt, you're a hell of a negotiator I am sure, but can you really buy the car at $195 or this hyperbole?

 

a good negotiator needs a good strategy then he can flip that hyperbole.

Unfortunately there are just alot of SLs sitting at dealers. My local dealer has 3 new SLs, (and 3 new Spyders) plus a 250 mi preowned SL (and 3 standard 05-07 coupes).

While there is a glut of Gallardos, the Murcie market seems to be relatively strong...

I got offered a few here in NY also they are really trying to move at lambo LI... Drove it and as you mentioned Watt, exactly my impressions , just not for me in any type of way. You should just trade your Strad for my gt2 to make me happy dammit hah jk, soon enough I'll follow your path!
