Just heard from my dealer and the wholesaler is saying that the whole market is dead with hi-end cars and he just dropped 4 thousand off my car. So, that means that the first 115 takes it.

That's what I'm beginning to see via EBAY...I saw a few 997TTs sell for $100k to $110k with around 10,000 miles +/-. By the winter, we could see 07' 997TT prices dip below 6 figures. I've also noticed that a lot of car financing lenders are pulling back loan maxs as well.

I agree with you Martin; But as of now I dont know of any turbos that are stickered about 150 or better that are even near the 115 mark. At this point I am getting real tired of all the calls and PM's about this car. If you dont want it, dont waste my time. If you gotta sell your car first,etc.. Dont waste my time.
I am getting rid of this car one way or another. Its not like theres something wrong with it. As a matter of fact, I think that the people are scared of the low price.

According to my dealers wholesaler, The Ceramics and carbon dont mean squat and the average wholesale price is 115K(After tax credit) I am again just passing this deal to whoever is looking for a 150K+ turbo that is Perfect at a price that will let you keep this thing for a while with just about no loss.

They will tell you those things because it suits their agenda to maximize their profit on your car . The wait time to sell a car like yours even in a strong economy can vary and they are still going to have to sell yours and be willing to take the risk of a anywhere from a few minutes to serveral months .

You have a nice car . I already have a turbo . It is my guess that if you are patient the new 09 cars will come out and with options on the 997S loaded your 115K turbo might even be worth 122K .

In short I have seen these cars go up in value feel that your car has that potential .

Either way --good luck.

at this point I am even getting 2nd thoughts as to selling it at all. I cannot believe the fact that nobody has jumped all over this car.

Would somebody please put up the latest Manheim numbers on a 997tt.

1. crappy economy
2. high miles
3. stellar Porsche resale value
4. oddball color combination

Take your pick. I'd keep it. You'll take an absolute crap-kicking if you trade or sell it.

Stop whining and be patient. Your car is beautiful.

The fact is, that everyone who responds "wants" your car and they're hoping for a fortuitous moment in time that will allow them to get it.

I think you've priced it fairly but the market is just bad. The second largest bank failure in US history this weekend (IndyMac) is not helpful to anyone selling luxury items.

I am not wining. Its just the fact that I cant believe that nobody is all over this car!! The sticker is 150K!! and it has an exhaust!! Like I said for the 10th time, its gonna be traded in soon and I am just offering it to whoever wants it at a real wholesale price.
I am not a dealer. I am a regular guy just like everybody here. I have had 5 turbos before this one. I know its a great, no story car that still smells new. If somebody here dont want it, fine.

The next post I make on this thread will be when its traded in.

Beautiful car and the rare color combo should fare well. I pulled up Manheim. You should be able to get the money you want.

If it is at wholesale then why not wholesale it? Sounds like it would be better than waiting around taking losses. Or better yet keep it if you think the blue is the best color you have owned.

The 150K retail doesn't mean anything to some people because you are selling options that they would or would have not cared about.

I bet you that a 130K retail will sell for the same as a 150K retail to the person wanting the 130K car more for the color/combo they prefer.

I wish you the best on the sale but if it were White, Black, Gray(shades) it would sell faster. Colbalt is a beautiful color but it is for specific buyers only.

Jamie also hit it on the head as economy and the gas prices has caused everyone to rethink about high end purchases. Look at the home markets in the Jumbo and Super Jumbo price ranges..
