might help people if they had an idea of what sort of car you are looking at---under $20k included everything from beat up hyundai's to 00 m5's these days...

 

want something 2001 or newer, that is sporty. For example, I am looking hard at a 2001 S4 35k miles 10k in mods for 13,250.

 

check out audizine.com and i am sure you will be able to find a decent audi for around that price, there are tons on there .... goodluck with the search

 

that sounds like a great deal if it's in good shape...you should check out 00 m5's as well....some of them are into the teens now..bummer for me as i own an 01...but they are amazing cars still.

 

I think it's the car I am gonna get...just wanna make sure the car is solid before I buy. The deal just seems too good to be true.

Who is selling that car, I might have an idea who's car that is but not sure. ANd how much are you getting it for. I have a 01 S4 same color but all blk leather. I have about 24k worth of work done to it with in the last 1,500 miles. Oh and it is a stg 3. But the car above sounds like a decent car. But with these car you need all your bases covered on the maintenance side and all the problematic things that go wrong with the car. If not it will cost you a pretty penny. Love those wheels on that S though.

that price for the S4 is amazing. that interior is hard to find. I just don't believe that price. got to be a salvage title or something. that car with no mods with that miles would be 20k at least

 

I have a 2000.5 S4... the mileage is higher but the car is in mint condition and babied. Garage kept. No stories or anything. It's not stage 3 - but as mentioned bringing it to stage 3 can bring upon a boatload of problems/expenses.

The car has 85k miles. It is silver w/ black interior and has a MTM chip.

Here is what is done.

- Timing Belt (80K miles service) done at ~77,000 miles


- Samco "F" hose and Throttle Body Boot


- All service records available, most of which was done through Schnieder
Nelson Audi


- Has Stasis Tracksport coilovers that need to be re-valved/rebuilt, but
stock suspension is also included.


- Mileage is actually 84,700


- All display pixels working


- Winter Package/ Bose/ 6 Disc Changer


- AutoSpeed TSB/ Rear Diff Mount/ Transmission Mounts


- MAF was recently replaced


- Paint is in great condition (as evident through the pictures)


- Always warmed up and cooled down


- Stock Turbo's

Agreed. My friend looked long and hard last December to purchase a 2001 S4 that was in mint condition with 75k miles and didn't find a good once until he reached $16.5k.
