FS: 2005 996TT Turbo S Driver in Outstanding Condition

:D***New Price*** I'm tired of all the comments about this car being priced too low, so it is now priced at $73K. This is the wholesale value according to KBB, NADA, and Edmunds for this mileage. The car was inspected today (11/14/08) at Champion Porsche in Pompano Beach, FL and passed with flying colors. The tech said the miles have to be highway because there is just not much wear on anything and it drives wonderfully. It still has the factory battery that he suggested replacing and the PCCB rotors look brand new, this car was not driven hard at all. The driver's seat bolsters are barely worn!

2005 Porsche 996 Turbo S Coupe. The last of a breed in perfect unmolested condition, but it has some miles (49.7K). Arctic Silver with Black Full Leather, X50, PCCB, Nav, PCM, Carbon Fiber, Factory Short Shift, GT Silver Wheels. This is a 2 owner car with great service history, no modifications and no damage.

Not in this market...believe me, I wish it was worth more. The miles are what's killing it...even though it is not a lot of miles for the reliable 996TT and this car looks like a 15-20K mile car.

Ouch !! Now that one just hurts. With this economy,, Everything is on Sale !! Six months ago, you would not have even considered selling at that price. I hope the new buyer will enjoy his "bargain".

MiniDHinkle 11-12-2008 07:17 PM

Good luck w/ the sale, Cleve!!

Sounds too good to be true. What's the catch?

It's a 69 Beetle with a body kit:D Seriously, the miles and current economy are what is hurting this one, just being realistic on the price...feel free to pay me more if you want.

Maybe it would be easier to sell if I was asking $69K?

Hey Cleve, are the PCCB rotors Gen I or Gen II?

As I recall, you had upgraded your GT2 GT700 to Gen II just before you sold it? Did you ever get a chance to try them out on the track?

These are Gen II since it's an '05 and as you can see in the photos, there is not any wear. No, my GT2 had a fresh set of Gen I that I had purchased at a good discount.

Yeah, I almost bought that car twice. I had the second highest bid the first time it sold on EBay, and the higest bid when the auction ended early the second time ( I was living in LV at the time).

Gungriffin 11-13-2008 10:57 AM

I was looking at the title in the FS section at first and thinking that this seemed fairly high priced, and then I reread the title. I thought that this was an 02 turbo. Wow this is an awesome price for an '05 S. I really wish that this was about 12 mo. from now so that I could buy it. GL w/ the sale. Someone is getting a great deal.

vincentdds 11-13-2008 11:39 AM

If only it was 993 Turbo S.

Red Devil 11-13-2008 11:44 AM

If only it were a 997 GT2
Anyway, a very nice car and as you said, the miles are killing it. At least you were the one to get the benefit of the miles. While the price is extra right and the car should have so much life left, you know it's tough. Heck, my car has only 10,000 miles and it's not moving either. G/L though!

doccao 11-13-2008 03:49 PM

Tough market? and Tough buyers? First time I heard a car was too cheap:confused:
Anyways, people with real money are now having to rethink a $60K purchase. For example, my local Porsche dealer has most '08 models discounted $20K off msrp...2 years ago I would've ran over there, today I sit & watch. Best of luck on a great deal !!!

Chris S 11-13-2008 03:56 PM

I hope you're in some serious dire straits financially to be selling it at that price...that's just ridiculous...and isn't helping an already depressed 996 market. If you have time on your side...you can definitely get more than that!!!

cohenfive 11-13-2008 04:11 PM

i sure hope he isn't in dire straits...i'm seeing and hearing about that enough elsewhere, this was my last bastion of solid balance sheets!!

Chris S 11-13-2008 05:30 PM

I don't actually wish it on him obviously...but I'm just hoping there's more of an explanation for selling a car like that for that price. It's the ONLY explanation really!

How about this, give me $75K for it (that's what KBB, Edmunds, and NADA say it's worth) and that way I'll be happy and we can simultaneously bailout the 996TT market!

59K sounds right, have you taken it to a dealer to see what they would give you?
I willing to bet it's a lot lower then what your asking.

There ya go...that's the attitude!!! Kbb says 56k trade-in for mine...i was offered $51k. How you go from $75k private sale to $59k just defies all logic!
that said...good luck to you!

dgreen78 11-14-2008 02:37 PM

WOW, I cant believe an 05 S is selling for this low! Good luck with the sale!

Pics of PCCB's and driver's seat. This car is mint and will be enjoyed for many, many more miles.

Just read though this - and MIGHT be looking for something in the next week or two - and i had NO ISSUE with 59k....and was actually hoping there was still SOME room to play for someone who is SERIOUS about this.

PM me to talk :)

GET IT DAMMIT!

Cleve what an unreal price, only if I didn't just order a new M3, this would be the perfect daily!

Update, car will be receiving a CPO warranty (factory warranty plus 2 years/50K miles, whichever comes first) from Champion.

as all the other members said, great looking car for a great price! just one question regarding the sale: Is it private party or for sale from a dealer? I could have sworn I saw this car for sale at an independent dealer in miami. Thanks!
