2004 Ferrari 360 on eBay starting at $1, no reserve
Wow... this is quite a twist but I'm willing to give the OP the benefit of the doubt. Having said that, I guess the bottom line is the seller can do what he wants because it is his car...
I hope that you don't let the dealer off the hook for the sale and in fact I would enforce the payment as soon as possible. I find it hard to believe that the dealer will pay $100K at the end of the month if he is unsuccessful placing the car by then. The dealer could easily walk away from this purchase and be able to preserve some part of his reputation by reciting this long story about you gave him time to pay, etc. You bear all the risk in this transaction... as nobody should offer you more than $100K since it looks like you will accept that for the car.
In any event, you went through with the auction to "do the right thing" and maintain the spirit of the auction process... I think enforcing immediate payment is part of that and as a private buyer, I do not bid if I don't have the money in hand... I hope that dealers are held to the same standard because I'm sure that they, as sellers, would require that of us.
I encourage the OP and/or the dealer who bought the car on eBay to chime in here.

Hey guys. Sorry I don't have much time now I will give more information on this later. I'm getting bombarded on the phone today by over-interested 3rd parties, and others who didn't get to bid who are still interested...
Bottom line, car is sold for 100k.

You have to wait to get paid or else it is not fully complete, there have been many re-lists due to people not getting approved or other reasons.
Deal did not go through, broker was the purchaser at 100k, but never made payment. Accepting offers for the next couple days before I wholesale it.
PM or call me if you have an offer or question.

Wow...talk about heart break. 7 months is going to end up costing you how much in depreciation?
I suppose the more optimistic way to view it is that you were able to enjoy the car for 7 more months?

Just wanted to re-iterate that this a beautiful, extremely well-maintained car. I would put the wholesale number in the high $80k's to low $90's. To buy this car private party at $90-92k is a great deal. Tom, post some more pictures here. If anyone is in the market for a 360, take a good look here.
Yes, but I say yes knowing that this would never happen! I believe the bid was over 80k after just a couple hours.
