Gruppe-M Intaek 996 TT**Used**

It was abused and neglected until i found it in the back. It does have some scratches and scrapes..but to be very honest, you can't see these imperfections once it's installed in the car. It comes with every thing needed for installation including the K&N filter. Ready to be shipped....$800 shipped! Thanks for looking. Retail on this intake is $2495

Completely false - GruppeM products are extremely high quality.

Right...I know they are fantastic for BMW, etc... but like I said there was a recent thread that they somehow cause a problem with the TT. I'm not trying to flame GruppeM - I'm just reporting what I heard. I wish I had more details to share.

It's a nice looking piece indeed however that part of the intake is not really a restriction... It almost doesn't matter what you do at that part of the system. Once you see the intake plenum pipes behind that intake then you'll know why Sadly porsche tapers things down considerably to make the two pipes fit down to the turbos in between a whole bunch of stuff

OK I searched for "gruppe m" in the turbo forum and I found the thread I was searching for.

One guy claims that the Gruppe M for the 996TT is an "open system" and somehow allows debris to get into the turbo blades, thus burning them up.

Other people refuted this, saying it was untrue.

Still another guy said that there could be problem could be related to putting Eurospec parts on US-spec cars.

Well it does have a conical filter so I don't think it's "open" as such?
