Glad I can help you in the sale Jim, great car and going to another good home.

New owner drove off last night, and while I didn't actually shed a tear, I think there was a lump in my throat. My kids weren't happy and drew pictures of it. Best of luck to the new owner, Enelio from NJ, who may be active on here.

Still not 100% in my mind, so only a wire-transfer or actual cash is OK. The agreed selling price is within 1% of my last bottom-line number.
Don't give him the title until the funds appear in your account. Wire transfer is the safest

Good advice, but it wasn't that buyer. We ended up having to do a lot of counting .

I hope you are kidding, D-bag He wanted to bring a bank/certified check and I was uncomfortable taking that at night with no way to authenticate. I made him go to the bank and withdraw the money that day. Maybe it would be good if the IRS took a close look at you, so don't throw stones when you probably live in a glass house.

Tony, thanks for your involvement and I hope he enjoys it. Once it's cleaned up I'm sure it will be like a new penny. I can honestly say the car was in about the same condition after spending 6.5 years with me as when I got it. I sent him and e-mail asking how he liked it, as if that really needed an answer Make sure you tell him I want 1st dibs whenever he decides to sell b/c that car will still look great years from now. Maybe encourage him to put your kind of front nose on it to change it up a bit. Take care and thanks again for bringing us together. I'll buy you some dinner if you get out here or I get over there.

No problem at all Jim, I'm glad I can help. We are already working on getting a Techart bumper and we are going to clean her up on Thursday at my house. I'll see you around at one of the Captree meets, what did you replace the TT with? Sorry just saw your sig, pretty cool.

Care to elaborate on this comment?... Seems like an odd thing to pop up and post without much explination. Not really 6Speed caliber of conversation.

Let me know when you guys are headed out there and I'll be sure to make it if I can. Front bumper was the only thing I considered during ownership and what I told him he should do. I look forward to seeing it done! As for the clean up, it was due for a spring full detail and will shine like a new diamond when you're finished. I'd love to see a picture of it, your car and a nice Cobalt Blue one together in a "USA" shot.

That would be a pretty cool shot, I'll get you some pic's when it's all cleaned up and the bumper is installed.

Yes, I was kidding. How would I know the source of the cash? And it is your bank's responsibility to report cash transactions greater than $10K, not mine.

Think about it, how would I know whether or not someone is laundering money?

It was meant as a joke but either some people around here didn't see it that way or they're overly sensitive about this issue. Either way, I wasn't accusing the seller of doing anything illegal.
