WTB CLK63 Black Series
For certain, "Buy-It-Now" is $70,900, so it will go for sure under that number...
FWIW, they quoted me $70,900 INCLUDING enclosed delivery which really makes it a sub-70k car. I probably should have bought it but there will be more.
Agreed, but a good deal for sure... 18k miles was not a deal killer but much higher than I would like to see on this type of car....
Well I bought mine. It should be here in a week or two. I've never driven one, but from what I have been reading, these cars seem to be a no-brainer at their current prices. I'll post some impressions after it gets here.
Congrats, be safe and enjoy !!!!
INSman,
I am the one that won the BIN bid on the $70,900 ebay car on Tuesday night. However, it was not meant to be as I was told on Wednesday morning that they will not honor the ebay bid as the car was sold at their dealership on Tuesday night, a few hours before my ebay bid.
I was pretty bummed out Wednesday morning, but I was able to find a local car(silver, ~3,000 miles) for a very reasonable price by lunch time. I did not want to lose another great deal, so I decided to go and see the car right away.
When I got there, it was the first time that I saw the BS in person, and I was blown away by the way it looked: Much smaller, tighter and "exotic" looking than in the pictures. The car had unmistakable "presence" that seemed to refuse to be ignored.
When I took a test drive, after basically rolling down only half of a block, I told the seller that I know I will enjoy driving this car and that I will take it! I knew about the performance credentials of the car so the main decision point for me was how it felt when I drove the car, which was GREAT! A sledge hammer in a tuxedo comes to mind.
For perspective, I have owned the 996tt, 997s, F430, 997tt, 997GT3, and E60 M5. I have enjoyed the F430 and the 997GT3 the most, and I feel that the Black Series will offer me at least equal, if not greater, driving enjoyment compared to either of these cars.
Wishing you the best in your hunt,
JLee

Everything happens for a reason, right ?!?
Glad to hear that you got yours and I will get mine soon enough.. Just not seeing many around with under 5k miles that are under $100k and I am looking to stay in the low $80k range.
Enjoy and be safe !!!
