Your car looks great but in today's market, my opinion is that your asking price is slightly on the high side.

Most of the 996s out there are sitting sub $30k asking and even those aren't 'flying off shelves'. To be perfectly honest, kbb is probably $10k over priced if, in fact, that kbb value is current.

I've been looking for months and would say a reasonable asking for your car would be about $26k. Expect to sell it for $22-24k.

Obviously this is only my opinion. Gorgeous car, dedfinetly one of the nicer ones.

its a good idea to part out and lower the price but I am too lazy to do that. I am hoping someone will appreciate the assets that are already on the car and will buy it all as is. The only thing I can do is to take the warranty out, as they will refund for any portion unused. Should drop about $2000 to $2500. Other than that, the car will sit in my garage until its sold. There really is no rush and I hate to see it go =P

I have many emailed about the warranty. So I will list the info here again. The extended warranty was purchased Apr 2008 for 3 yrs 36k coverage. So far it has been 15 months and 6k miles, still got 21 months / 30k miles to go. It is provided thru Prizm Administrative Solutions, Inc. - Total Protection Plan
http://www.totalvalueprotection.com/
Coverage purchased was the Total Protection Plan - Supreme, which covers:
Engine, Transmission, Transfer Case, Drive Axle, Steering, Brakes, Electrical, Air conditioner, Suspension, Fuel delivery, Cooling, Enhanced electrical, and any exclusionary coverage.

I am not sure how kbb is $10 over priced, but those under $30k are mostly the coupe and not the C4 cab. Generally the C4 cab costs more, but I agree that you might find a coupe under $30k but they could be high mileage and all stock. Looking on autotrader, same year C4 cheapest one is $34k that looks just like any other out there. At least I think mine is a little different =) Thanks for looking.

We have the same warranty - Total Protection (Supreme). I got the 4 yr / 48k miles. So far I was able to claim only the ignition switch assembly ($500 to replace this piece of ****?! ) My deductible is $50.

Just remember, asking doesn't mean much in this market. Look hoe many reductions everybody is making. Turbos are going for mid 40s, some even high 38s.

I wouldn't say it's wasted. It's sort of insurance that helps us sleep at night

Others might be desperate to sell, but not me. I can wait for the right buyer, and he can rest assure he's buying one with absolutely no hidden problems and everything as stated. I believe in You get what you paid for. So just wish me luck with my sales and move on and good luck finding yours if you are still looking. Peace.

C4 Sale

Great looking car! Good luck with the sale. I'm still 6-12 months out. If your car is still around, I'll be looking you up!

No problem, I think I will try to hold on to it for as long as I can haha.
Baby should be out Jan, I think I won't get serious about selling until then. This is the only place I have posted, so don't worry...I should still have it by then
