FS: 1999 996 C2 - Factory LSD, Sunroof Delete (Rare)

The car’s exterior has no dings or dents. The nose has a couple tiny rock chips, but nothing major. Overall great condition.

The interior is in fantastic shape. All the leather is flawless and is conditioned regularly. Presently the Euro GT3 shells are installed, but I will be putting the sport seats back in upon selling the car. If you want the seats, I can work an all-inclusive package that includes them.

Mechanically, the PO went to great lengths to make this motor resilient and last. I have all the records from the PO as well as my 3-ring binder that includes notes, receipts and services records. An X51 oil scavenge pump and line were ordered from Germany and custom installed. The pump prevents the engine from starving itself of oil in hard corners and helps keep the flow of oil back to the sump constant. For additional protection, an X51 baffled oil pan was installed. The engine runs fantastic and has absolutely no falloff in oil pressure no matter what turn you take.

The brakes (pads and rotors) are in good condition and have minimal wear as comparable to the miles on the car. The brake fluid is ATE Super Gold 200.

Tie-rods were recently replaced. The A/C is perfect and blows very cold.

Here are the details:

1999 Porsche 996 Carrera 2
Miles today: 38,100
Miles when purchased: 33,400

Asking: $32,000 negotiable

Please PM or email nsaigh@hotmail.com

Extras (selling separately unless requested by buyer)
Note - I will not sell these items till the car is sold:

Euro GT3 Leather Seats (shells) - $2000+shipping
Brey-Krause GT3 shell lowering brackets - $150+shipping

As of this moment, this is the only “A” condition, non-sunroof Porsche 996 Carrera for sale in the US. Based on what the car is and what has been done to it, I believe this price to be fair. If you would like a PPI, I can recommend a host of various shops that are close to me. My personal shop is CPT in Melrose Park, IL. I will be going over the car thoroughly before the sale to be sure she is 100%.

Thanks for your interest.

Neil

Great looking car with some incredible options. The sunroof delete is perfect for guys my height (6'5"). I wish I could find an '02+ like that.

The sunroof delete is great! Being 6'-4", I have ~3" of headroom with the GT3 seats in the car. Back when I was looking for a 996, having no sunroof was one of two requirements. The other being an LSD.

The RMS was replaced in June 2006 by the PO. I have not had any issues with oil leakage during my ownership.

Thanks!

Wow, I used to have a car just like that! The sunroof delete was super rare. If I remember correctly, there were only 3 in the US made like this and in white. If it is the same car...it was extremely well cared for. Here are some of my past pics. Good luck with the sale.

I looked back through the records, it turns out this is your former car.

I believe you're correct in that there are only three of these in the US. They were custom ordered cars from Champion Porsche.

Thanks!

Here's a pic of the GT3 seats. Sorry for the awful quality. I'll have to grab some in better lighting.
