I will post more pics later this week. I need to take some new shots with my friends new SLR camera.
I am expecting around 38k with all options included including the original wheels/tires and suspension and factory exhaust.

How bad you need to sell?

Similar cars to these aren't fetching anywhere near that price. It's entirely your perogative, but if you don't want to spend months bumping and giving price reductions you may want to do some market research. Chicago motor cars had a nicely moded, 46K mile car for about $22,500.

Again, the car is worth whatever someone will pay but from someone who's been shopping extensively, $38k is 996 twin turbo pricing.

GLWS either way.

correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you need to update you pics because those cars next to you have the Ben Keaton sticker on them which means it was like 5 yrs ago.

Awesome car man, looks really good with the Techart rims!

Unfortunately atr911 is spot on, in the current market this car is at $25k tops. Turbos with similar miles would be at your asking price. I've seen quite a few go for high 30's over the last month

The one at Chicago motor cars had 42k miles, aftermarket rims, suspension, turbo style tail. Motor had upgrades aswell. They were asking $22.5k.
There was a 99 with 88k miles, c4, gt3 seats, coilovers, new engine from Porsche 12k miles ago and a complete 2002 front end and some other goodies that went for about 24k after a few months listed here. Engine and clutch had warranty too.

$25 k would be a good starting place for a reasonably well sorted car. Probably sell between 20 and 23k.

Just my research.

prices

no offense atr911 but I always get tired of people pricing other peoples' cars. I looked at ALOT of P-cars before I bought my 996 C4 and I have to say if the price is LOW the car is usually not worth it. Did you get a carfax on this $22K/38K mile modded Porsche? I have seen several "great looking deals" only to get car faxes that had warnings all over them or they had a BUNCH of small annoying issues.

My .02 is that it is worth it to pay more for a well cared for, no issue, no accident car. You can rack up $5-10K fast in repairs on a bad Porsche.

My .03 is thyat if you think something is not priced right and you just want to help someone out just give them a PM dont hijack the post with negative comments.

Yellowbmr - your car, if in good shape and a clean carfax is woth more than $22K. I would delete this thread and start a new one with less rubbish or contact the admin to remove some of the posts.

Geez

GLWS

No offence taken. Just trying to help the guy out. Alot of these cars are just sitting for sale with no movement because the price is being driven down by the few that are 'needing' to sell. I suppose the the bottom line is that stock 996s are going for under $20K with reasonable mileage for the age. Factor in upgrades, if tastefully done, and you might see 20-30% value increase.

Nobody is doing him any service by not telling him that at $38k it's well above market value.

Absolutely I should have sent a pm and not posted. I'm sorry if I caused any embarrasment.

P.S. Can you please email me. I am interested in seeing more pictures. I'm a buyer if we can come to an agreement on price.
