1987 928s

Hope this is allowed?

Don't know if anyone might be interested in this car, but I saw this 928 on a local consignment lot, and got this info:

1987 928 S. 2 Owner and only 70k miles. Maintained at Carlsen (ed: local Porsche dealer) Priced @ $15,800

If interested, I can get you the tel nr of the lot.

BTW, found out it's an automatic.

The market has really fizzled on these in the past couple of years. I had my '88 928 S4 with 50,000 miles on it for sale on a lot and in the popular online sites for over a year before selling at substantially less than the asking price on this car. I personally think they are worth every penny but alas the market did not agree.

Automatic or 5-speed? Makes a huge difference when selling a 928 as most enthusiasts prefer the 5-speed cars. Automatics are most definitely harder to sell..... There have been a couple low mileage GTSs (5-speeds) that have sold for over $100k in the past 6-8 months. Some later automatic cars also suffer from torque thrust bearing failure which can destroy the engine.....
