How bad is it? I don't think that is an appropriate question since you either have it or you don't IMO.
Early on I got quotes ranging from $3000 to $8000 to replace the syncros but then I got comfortable with the situation and decided not worth it, as have plenty others I have talked to.
No have not tried the gbox fix - it explicitly states that that mod will not stop it from occurring if it already occurs, but it can help prevent it from happening.
Thanks
Dave, Another idea for you. Why don't you swap parts out for $9-12K. I think stock car and swap parts with you for $ would solve problem. The stock one would be very happy for great deal and all your parts are mostly new. And you could sell your car later for $35-38K.
Thanks for the help.
A big part to all of this is the time and money you want to spend on selling it. That's why most people find it easier to just sell the car as whole instead of parting it out or fixing some things, even though it may work out for a thousand more dollars or so in the end.
It all depends on how much time and money you have at the current time.
Anyway, I love the turbos. So good luck with the sale bruv!!

Actually now I may be parting it out after all... I worked a more than fair deal for labor to convert back to near stock with my mechanic.
So if anyone is interested in it fully modded as is, I suggest you contact me quickly with your best offer. I do have some buyers lined up for some of the big parts already so at least that generates some quick cash.

Seriously, i will be in the market in a few months. Wish the owner could hold onto it until then.
forget it guys, we are trying to work a deal with Dave, just going through the last details unless he has someone else interested closer and ready to pay now with less hassle than selling to a canadian...
