.... because the car is well known and was heavily modded in the past, which is a negative for me. My only worry is me running in to engine issues in the future since the car was tracked in the past.

And the boost level wasn't excessive. the program allowed the engine to run a very rich A/F ratio to provide extra fuel to cool the pistons and cylinder linings. I had several problems with the car on track as mentioned in one of my posts on the thread but never a single engine problem at all.
I had a noise in the driveline this spring and had the transaxle removed and inspected by Hennessy Porsche and they said it looked nearly new inside. I believe that came from easy shifting, the best lubricant available and a trans cooler. I can give you the name of the person at Hennessy who did the work and you can confirm, if you like. Turns out that the noise was a wheel bearing so both rears were replaced. I put a new release bearing in just for good measure. The clutch disc and pressure plate looked to be in excellent condition or I would've done replacements there.
I also had a leak down test ( this is not a simple compression test) done on all cylinders and everything is within Porsche spec. this is mentioned in the Pre Purchase Inspection I had done this summer. Since the suspension components have all been replaced with stock components and wheels, all of which have less than 17K miles, I don't think there should be any problems there either.
All this may not give you any comfort with the engine and its potential longevity but I feel someone will come along and do the due diligence to find comfort with this car in every respect.
I appreciate all the info you've provided.
When you say "engine build"; can you reinterate to me what exactly was changed internally engine wise besides just the rods?
Thanks.

With just his standard 1 bar boost program that Kevin at Ultimate Motorwerks did (has 3 different programs as mentioned in the ad) the car is boosting 1.1 bar. We think the cams are giving the extra 0.1 bar of boost. I asked Kevin abt HP and torque and he said at 1.1 HP would be about 465 RWH and 560 ft lbs. of torque. Of course top end HP would be down with the stock K16's but I swear the car feels just about as quick as it did with the larger turbos on it.
I rarely ever revved the car up high enough to really take advantage of the larger turbos. Nearly all shifts were done between 6 and 6.5K. I never needed the extra power on the track anyway. The quicker the lap times, the more you eat up tires and brakes. I always took it easy with the car (PSM on all the time) but I was consistently the one doing all the passing. Dez (Heavychevy) can confirm all that I say.
There is no lag like I had with the larger bigger ones and the program also spools the turbos up at a lower RPM than stock so the power really comes on early and hard.

Al, have you been quoted on the price for the paint repairs needed? I know for fact how bad people dislike rock chips, it makes the car look beat up and shoddy, maybe that's what holding the car back. I had to repaint my bumpers, hood and fenders just to sell a car once.
I do but you would need to send me an e-mail address. The files I have are way too large (3megs/pic) to post on this forum and I don't know how to reduce the size.

I've been quoted a price from a very good repair shop to repaint the front bumper and spoiler, replace the 2 rocker panels and touch up the chipped places inside the front fender wells. It was $1,680. I'm not going to put any more money into the car bc I don't think I would get that extra input back. It still would be a car that has been to Road Atlanta several times. I think that's what's really holding it back.

Man I would love to have this car!
I saw a lot of the work that was done on the engine build and it was first rate.
The car is ready to drive as is or be built into a monster with just a few mods.
