porscheconvert is infamous around these parts
Wtb: 02+ 996 $25-30k

Year: 2002
Make: Porsche
Model: 911
Price: $30000
Mileage: 1
Color: Yellow, Red, Blue
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): TX
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive

Sold my 997 as my DD and picked up a G37. Now looking for 996 as 3rd car.

Must Haves:
-6 speed
-Yellow, Red, or Blue (would consider black if it has cinnamon interior)
-Documented service history

Nice to Haves:
-Prefer Coupe but would consider Cab
-Warranty or IMS/RMS upgrade
-50K miles or less

Gotta stay under $30K with TTL and transfer...doable from what I've seen in the market. However, I'm a sucker for a great deal so if you have something close, let me know.

She's gorgeous, Joel. However, I think I might be able to get one with a few less miles for that price...perhaps you can roll back the odometer ?

LOL... love mine. need a SUV. It's gonna be hard going from a 997 to a 996. I test drove a 997. it was a big mistake as I want one now.

What are the biggest differences you noticed? Also, what year 997 did you drive?

The interior was years beyond my car. Even that the quality of the materials of the 996 is better, the 997 feels more modern. The 997 was quieter than the 996 (may not be a good thing!) engine/exhaust wise. I have the PSE mod and nothing else. Also, the 997 drives more civilized. My 996 doesn't have traction control, so you are aware you are driving a sports car at all times. The test drive was a 2006 997 carrera coupe. I could have that for a song at my local stealership for $38K with 25,000 miles.
