I just bought a dd and was basically choosing from the same cars as you. I went with the 750i, and I love it so far. I wasnt considering them initially, but I came across a good deal, checked it out, and loved it.

I liked the exterior/sportiness of the CLS, but a bit cramped in the back (young kids) and the interior wasnt as nice as the BMW.

I was leaning towards the 550, but ended up liking the overall space/comfort of the 7 series. Less sporty than the others, but much more posh.

Others that i considered were the Lexus GS (nice car, but didnt do it for me) and Mercedes E (only really liked the AMG, and wasnt finding any great deals-also same about the mercedes interior being sub par to the BMW).

Hah, just looked at your signature, and it looks like you have ruled out the 7. Oh well, good luck with the search.

Thanks For the response!

Just like you, I didn't consider the 7, till recent price analyst and boy have they Dropped! I knew i had to update something in my sig, Thanks!

Only thing keeping me a little away from the 7, is my dealer told me they have alot of electrical issues once your around 60-70K. My 335i never gave us an issue, even though it has the HFP issue but never affected our model. If you dont mind, what year/miles and avg price did you find yours for? You can PM if you like.

Consider a Jaguar XJR. Much better than average reliability, superb performance, much less $ to purchase than comparable M-B and BMW models. Also much nicer to look at IMO.

Drove 80k in a year and a half in a 2008 750 and I had no electrical issues at all. All I did was basic maintenance and a couple trims pieces here and there but that is about it.
