Hi guys,

Kicking around the idea of a new CTS-V - wanted to see if there is any interest. May entertain trades if you have something fast and unique.

For those unfamiliar... this car with just a simple ecu tune will run a 12.7 (give or take on 93 octane). Adding downpipes (Just $700) and a FMIC ($750) - on 93 Octane is a 12.3ish - Then you can add meth or use race gas.. and run all over the 11s and make around 450whp.

Just ECU tune car will make around 340whp 385tq (different tunes will produce slightly diff numbers)

Car just received a professional detail Saturday by buff auto appearance (amazing work and comes to your home).


Color combo is rare and looks amazing. The sparkling graphite with coral red interior is probably 1 of the nicest combos out there IMO.

Anyways - car was bought as a CPO, so warranty is good till like Jan 2014 or 100K miles. Right now has 34,7XX. Car is a Steptronic (w the paddle shifting). No accidents, or any BS - Car is 110%

Put on stock wheels with all other mods, it looks fairly stock with all the nice enhancements. The MIRO 111s give the car a totally different look.


Here is the only pic I have on my work comp. When I say the car is immaculate. It is immaculate. The detail was amazing, wait till more photos. Interior LOOKS NEW and SMELLS NEW.

Couple super small rock chips on the lip (as expected.. any car thats driven will have these after a couple hundred miles).






Car has thousands in mods - I lost count, but probably somewhere near $4K with parts and labor (incl. wheels).

Thoughts/opinions appreciated. Rather not trade this in.. next owner loses the CPO if traded and dealer sells it, the color combo is too beautiful to let some dealer take it, and all the mods (wheels are subjective) - but everything else is a MUST to take this car to the next level and how it should have come from the factory stock and is a good starting point for anyone who wants to continue modding it.

Next up would of been H&R Sport springs/Bilstein shocks, M3 side skirts, and a FMIC.

Oh yeah I forgot. Car is a BEAST IN THE SNOW WITH THE X-DRIVE!!!

Excellent car! Just bought an alpine white on Blk for my wife. Mainly the same mods as yours too.
These are excellent daily drivers my wife gets 27-28 mpg driving city traffic. It's a solid 30+ mpg highway car. Mine has a JB+ a well and the performance is noticeable over stock. Good price for having CPO too, shouldn't take long to sell. The colors look great too. Glws man!

Really liking the new CTS-V - got to drive my buddies who writes for an automag when they gave it to him for 3 days. Fell in love ever since (This was like 2009).

But yeah, can't beat this price for a CPO to 100K and warranty till just about 2014! Car is in great shape, and all the little enhancements add up in $$ - there already done for the next owner

I am drooling over this car. Do any of the modifications that you made void the warranty? I assume you are in NJ? Will the JB+ be included?

 

JB+ isn't in the car and hasn't been. The jb+ is the only thing that the dealer could say anything about.. but it literally takes 2 minutes (legit 2 minutes) to install/remove under the hood.. with no codes, and removal prior to any dealer visits - they would never know its there

But they can't void your warranty if its installed. If you were a priest and installed it- then your car started misfiring and you went in, LEAVING it installed... well they can say they they are not going to warranty THAT repair (not a guarantee, but they can choose to)... but if the stereo stopped working or Bluetooth broke.. well that would have no cause and effect of the jb+..

I think you know what I am saying.

Yes I am in NJ - North/Central. BTW with jb+ install car is as quick as an LS2 Vette roughly. Its got gobs of torque also. And I have not known 1 person on any of my e90 forums to have a warranty voided for simply a jb+...

 

You are in NJ, but the car is in AL? I just want to know where to pick it up! What kind of exhaust would you put on it? I have only heard a few, but I like the Dinan thus far. I didn't see anything listed on the upgrades, but I may have missed it. Perhaps it sounds fantastic already?

 

Hey the AL is the default from the site woops! I am in NJ!!!! No Alabama for me.

Honestly, the car has the flapper pulled so the exhaust is a bit louder. Has GORGEOUS (pic shown) black chrome 4" tips... and I also have but not listed. Brand new stainless steel piping to replace the secondary cats.

Google 335 secondary cat delete. Stock exhaust + cat delete is amazing ( NO DRONE!). Exhaust doesn't add any power don't waste your money. Add Downpipes + FMIC ($1400 for BOTH) and the car with tuning will run a low 12 on pump 93 octane. and be a winter beast (if chosen too) and a awesome daily driver.

 

So you've been testing this car. Have you done a lot of racing...or as you probably call it " mechanical and engineering research" ?that explains the new tires too!

 

I haven't tracked/raced the car once. I am a big poster on e90post and like to be correct and informed of my cars capabilities but haven't touched the engine. I purchased the jb+ about a week and 1/2 ago on e90post. (again can see my thread and when I found a buyer selling theirs).

The stock tires actually still had 50% life at 33k miles. I sold them on the forum (you can go look) so stock tires at 33k miles with 50% life isn't too shaby eh? The car is very well planted with the x-drive.

I don't know what your referring to/getting at. The stock 17" alloy wheels I sold, because this is the look I was going for, hence the black on graphite theme.

If you want a car that's raced go check out some with full bolt ons and meth kits installed. This car has seen stock boost its whole life, and on top of it the car is warrantied till 100K miles and another 3+ years.

question, where'd you get those exhaust tips from? i really like those. i assume they go right on the stock tail pipes? lmk, i wanna buy a set!
