I saw a CGT and an SLR side by side at the Riverside,CA Benz dealership. No comparison. The CGT is a powerful and yet balanced styling. The SLR is overstated. Seinfeld put it best when he said "Why would I want to drive a car that looks like Bluto should be driving it." If in doubt check out the old Popeye cartoons.

 

As you all probably know Jay Leno owns both, and his reasoning for being both was pretty good. He said the CGT is superior and it's just pure hard-core, nothing less. If you took it downtown though you'd have to keep worrying about because it's so exotic. But on the other hand the SLR is an every day sportscar. It looks like the dime-a-dozen SL and you could probably drive it everday, feel comfortable inside it and probably not have to worry about it if you just left on the street cause it could easily pass for nothing special.

That said I definetly would take it for every day use if I had a CGT or Zonda to get nicely besides it in the garage.
